"In the beginning great inspiration has been drawn from schooling, residence in Florence, Italy, extensive travel throughout Europe and U.S.A., attendance of artist studios, galleries, and museums. While heavily influenced by New York abstract expressionist movement, I strive to convey controlled gestural energy, intense passion, and the power of communication through my lacquer, varnish, stain, primer, glass oxide, silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, sand, shell, concrete, asphalt, tar, and diamond.
