CBC Classes

We understand that in your spiritual journey, just as in your childhood days, learning is key to moving forward.  Of course, having an encounter with God that goes beyond any words or head knowledge is a vital part of your journey.  However, in as much as faith without deeds is dead, so to your spiritual journey without a foundation of solid truth may be dead as well. For that reason we offer a few classes, with much more to come, in order to equip you with biblical study tools, firm up your foundation of Christian beliefs and history, introduce you to the life and ministries of our church, and help you discover and act on your God-given gifts

Point of Contact

Times: Sundays 9:45 - 11:00am
Duration: 3 weeks starting January 15th
Location: The Green House across the street from the church

At a church our size, we understand that it can be hard meeting people, finding opportunities to connect or serve, and getting your questions answered. The staff and leadership at CBC want to meet you and help you connect, even if you've been coming for a while now. Point Of Contact is our opportunity to connect with you, answer your questions, and share our passions and vision with you. During our time together, you'll meet several staff members and leaders, learn how CBC has been transformed over the past 3 decades, better understand our vision for ministry, and discover how you can get involved.

Deeper Connections

Times: Sundays 9:45 - 11:00am
Duration: 10 weeks starting January 15th
Location: Portable building across the street from the church. Look for the Deeper Connections banner.

This is a 10 session small group discussion & study class designed to be a great starting place to get connected with others, to learn more about principles of your faith and to become active in your spiritual journey.  Whether you are new in your faith or have been a member of the Body of Christ for a while, these classes will help equip you for the work of God's kingdom. The discussions are lead by pastors and leaders of CBC who will provide you with an outline and worksheet to complete each class and take home to study.  Over the course of the class we will focus on:

iGrow

Times: Wednesday Nights 7:00-8:30pm starting February 1st
Duration: 8 weeks
Location: The Cafe

iGrow is about creating a spiritual growth culture through discipleship classes. We will go through Francis Chan’s New York Times Best Seller book called “Crazy Love.” We will meet for worship, hear a short message or video, break into small groups (male and female) to have discussion, and then break into groups of four (same gender) to pray for each other. This prayer time is unique because each group of four will pray for one person that night. Throughout the week the group will continue praying for that same person. Won’t it feel great to know that three other people are praying for you and checking in on you through the week? Come grow a deeper understanding of God’s “crazy love” for us and learn how we can give God’s “crazy love” to others.

Married Couples Class

Times: Mondays 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Duration: 6 weeks starting January 23rd
Location: The CBC Espresso Cafe
Cost: $75 per couple

This class covers different ways to build your marriage relationship by teaching communication skills, such as learning to listen with intent to understand your partners heart; healthy ways to identify problems and solve them; showing respect in conflict; finding replacements for trigger words and actions; and building trust founded in God's word and His love.
