At CBC we believe in true transformation. When a man understands what it means to have Christ in his life, transformation is possible, and life becomes full of new possibilities. This not only blesses his own life but the lives of those around him—his family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. We help men to see the fullness of God’s word in their lives, not just by controlling negative actions or briefly stopping bad habits, but by replacing the belief system that causes the negative actions and habits in the first place with the Holy Spirit's power in their lives. And we believe in the power of prayer—not only the spiritual power, but the physical bond that takes place between men when they become vulnerable and supportive of one another through prayer.

There is a desire in each of us to be connected with God but the busyness of life often blurs or distracts those attempts. At CBC we try and address that desire in a number of exciting ways such as weekly bible studies, yearly retreats, monthly breakfasts and special events where we can not only grow in our relationship with God, but develop new friendships and relationships with other men so that we can nurture and encourage one another along the way. We also provide opportunities for men to use their skills to serve the Church, community and the world around us.  We believe in creating space for all to grow–not on a treadmill of added obligations, but through a genuine commitment to strengthen and support the men of our community so that in turn they can support and strengthen the cause of Christ in the world.

Souled Out Men's Bible Study

For those men who are truly serious about allowing the power of God to transform their lives. We'll be using the "I Really Want To Change... So, Help Me God" Bible study series By James McDonald.  Always direct and to the point, James MacDonald is a practical pastor with a heart for seeing lives completely changed by the truth of the gospel. This 24 week series will help you become the Man God desires you to be. You are welcome to show up at any point in the series.

P.U.R.E. - Care for Widows, Single Parents, the Elderly & Distressed.

Join the team of men who are Putting Uncompromising Radical Efforts toward caring for and building relationships with God's beloved in our church and community through practical, good works projects.

PURE is an opportunity for the men of CBC to be organized and deployed in teams to permanently adopt and care for the widowed, single parent and others in the church and community who have long-term and practical needs. It is demonstrating the love of Christ through good works in which God is glorified.   For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

PURE - Pure and undefiled religion before God and the father is this: to visit orphans and widows inth their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

• Teams of 4-5 men adopt and develop a caring relationship with a widow, a single parent, an elderly person or someone in our church or community who has long term needs.
• Three hours of time on one Saturday morning dedicated to helping the same care receiver each month. 
• The teams of men will accomplish basic tasks around the home from which the care receiver will benefit.
• The men will share a prayer & devotion time before going to the care receivers home.
• When the work is completed, the men will pray with & for their care receiver as well as for their neighborhood.
• P.U.R.E. is not intended to be a temporary & free "handy man" service rather a long term effort to build meaningful caring relationships.

Friday Morning Men's Journey Group

7:00am to 8:30am each Friday morning in the portables across from the church.

Join Pastor Harry and a group of men desirous of seeking after the things of God in an open and transparent environment.  The objective is to grow and to encourage spiritual growth.  Together we will journey along God's path looking to see what the Holy Spirit is showing us through his word and what he is doing within us to accomplish his purpose. Each week we freely share our lives and we each have the previledge of observing the wonder of how God works in others lives making all things work together for the good of those who are called to walk with him.  

It's an amazing journey!  Through the Friday Men's Journey Group Blog we can continue our discussions throughout the week.  When you walk with us you also will be able to share your thoughts, prayer requests, and reports of what God is doing in your life!

Bring your Bible and a notepad and we'll have the coffee ready for you!
