Every year Simon's Net charters fishing boats out of Dana Point Harbor and Oceanside Harbor, and this year out of San Diego Harbor. We go out for half-day bass fishing, local yellowtail fishing, as well as 2-1/2 day tuna excursions. We are always hoping to land the BIG one, but more importantly, we like to emphasize Christian fellowship, always giving glory and praising God for his wonderful creation, and possibly "catching a soul" along the way.
Each year we offer a special children's fishing trip. If you've had it in your heart to be a "fisher" of men, well, how about a chance to be a "fisher friend" to a child. We look to men and women of our church community to accompany and or sponsor children of single parents for a local half-day fishing trip. We reach out to the church family, as well as the local community and merchants to sponsor ticket fares, rod rentals, bait, tackle, lunches and fish cleaning for these special children. With the lack of morals, values and even heroes in the world today, the relationships developed between the children and their fishing partners are instrumental in helping these kids become well grounded in the Christian faith. |

is not just a fishing ministry for catching Tuna, Yellowtail or
Bass, but is more importantly a ministry of "fishing
for men, women and children".
Our trips are designed
with the experienced fisherman in mind, as well as the man, woman
or child who has never fished in their life. Simon's Net is
an outreach with Christian fellowship as the main goal. If
you have always wanted to take your children or your parents out
fishing, but hesitate because of the atmosphere aboard the 'party
boats', we offer friendly, loving, moral, Christian surroundings
aboard our charters.
